I just stopped in for a quick bite and a marg because it's August jn Texas and that's how we keep cool and I love every single thing about this place. The story, legacy, authenticity, ambiance and staff were amazing. I ordered simple and fast this time with bean and cheese nachos because I was pressed for time and they came out super fast and hit the spot! I'll be back for an actual meal soon, although for $8.99 for nachos, I'm full and happy, so that might be my thing here! Viva El Fenix! ????????

There is better tex-mex around but the incredible outdoor patio sets this place apart from anywhere else. The beautiful foliage and views of Dallas are perfect. We received attentive and professional service. They weren't too busy on a Friday night and they validate parking. The el jefe margarita was strong and plentiful- a martini glass with the shaker for your own at-table pours. The grilled chicken with veggies was tasty and I would order it again but ask for double veggies next time. The salsa was good but the chips were a little too salty.

Authentic Mexican foods. Beautiful place and clean. Parking is 3 hours free on the public parking lot (paid) in front of the restaurant. No free parking available in the city. If you visiting Dallas then this place should be in your bucket list. Very helpful staff.

That was by far the absolute best Tex Mex that I've ever had!!! Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and delicious food! I'm only in Dallas one night. Staff from the W hotel recommended El Fenix to me as it's only a 7 minute walk. It absolutely made my visit to Dallas! Trying to figure out a way to bring some back to Louisiana with me in my luggage lmao

We had a group of 20 with no reservations, we were pleasantly surprised when we were all accommodated in one of their beautiful spacious rooms. Our waiter, Israel and his team were excellent and very attentive. Food and drinks were great and at reasonable prices.

I had a delicious lunch experience here. I ordered a fajita plate that was incredibly tender and delicious. My only complaint, and the reason for my four stars, is I expect an authentic Mexican restaurant to make their own flour tortillas. To use packaged flour tortillas should be a crime for any Mexican restaurant. Other than that the atmosphere was great and food was good.

Service at this location was great, waiter was very attentive and brought our food quickly. Chips and flautas were great, but sadly the chicken in my street tacos was quite dry. Overall, the experience was great.

This Historic landmark has such rich history. It's been kept up so well. Always popular! You will have a wait on the weekend, but it's worth it! Really cool atmosphere everywhere you look
